Granite Desk/Pillar Headstone for People - Natural

Our granite desk/pillar headstones are made from a single, solid piece of polished black granite. They make an elegant memorial for your loved one. This durable and timeless material ensures longevity and allows for a range of customisation options. The headstone can be produced in three styles: engraved directly into the surface of the stone, with a ceramic photo plaque that is fixed to the headstone, or a classic bronze plaque that is fixed to the headstone.

Each of these options offers a unique look and feel for the memorial. Engraving directly into the surface provides a classic, sophisticated look. The inscription appears pale grey against the polished black surface, but if you prefer, there is the option of finishing the engraving with genuine gold leaf. A photo plaque allows for a personalised touch, combining your favourite photo along with your chosen words. A bronze plaque gives a traditional, eternal look.

The clever shape of the granite headstone means that it can be placed in either a desk or a pillar orientation, depending on the desired look and location. The pillar orientation gives a striking, taller appearance, while the desk orientation offers a more subtle look with a lower profile.

Ultimately, a granite desk/pillar headstone offers a fitting tribute to a cherished family member, providing a lasting memorial that can be customised to suit individual preferences. Its durability ensures that it will withstand the test of time and serve as a fitting tribute for many years to come, whilst its versatility ensures that it will be perfect for you.

Gold leaf is a premium decorative finish that adds warmth, elegance, and contrast to engraved lettering. Unlike many metallic finishes, genuine gold leaf does not rust, tarnish, or fade over time. As gold leaf is applied to the surface of the engraving, its long term performance is influenced by the environment in which the memorial is placed. Factors such as weather exposure, irrigation systems, coastal conditions, physical contact, cleaning methods, and general wear may affect the adhesion of the gold leaf over time. While many gold leaf inscriptions remain beautiful for many years, gold leaf is considered a decorative surface finish and may require maintenance or reapplication during the life of the memorial. As environmental conditions are beyond our control, the longevity of the gold leaf finish cannot be guaranteed and is not covered under warranty.

Cemetery requirements can vary, so we recommend checking your cemetery’s specifications before purchasing. If you need a different size, style or material, we’re happy to help arrange a custom headstone.
